Sell Me My 2019 Ford Ranger XLT

Hey all,

Wanted to post a silly question here that I was asking AI the other day:

“Can you convince me why my 2019 Ford Ranger XLT was a good purchase?”
(I bought it in Sep ‘22 with 26k miles on it)

I don’t have buyer’s remorse, I love my truck! I just want to be reminded of why it’s so awesome.

Maybe there’s something awesome about it I didn’t even realize—hit me with it!

I have steel fenders too!?! Wtf ford. On a plus side you have a lot of goodies we dont have. On a negative side your transmission is probably much worse off than anyone 2023 and later. Do you have a warranty?

This isn't a unique or original opinion, however, what stands out to me often is the quality of this forum and the caliber of individual that tends to post here. So, with a 5g Ford Ranger, a hidden selling point is the company you keep.

I do not have warranty. I did however do a tranny drain and fill about 1k miles ago. It hadn’t given me any problems—other than the typical rough shift—it was just preventative maintenance.

Some of the decontented items were also Covid supply chain related.

Many people who bought Lariats didn't get the LED headlights but got a credit instead.

And some poor souls didn't get the Auto Stop/Start functionality due to supply chain disruptions. The Horror!

As far as selling you your truck, I've recently driven the Colorado ZR2, Ranger Raptor, and brought home a Maverick Tremor for a couple of days.

I still have my 2019 Ranger.

If I were going to pick one of the ones I drove it would probably be the ZR2.

Were some of the other trucks better than mine?

In some ways yes, and in some ways no.

Were any of them thousands of dollars better?

None of them were better to the point where I was willing to pay the difference.

My truck now has a fully rebuilt transmission and the HVAC box has been replaced so I should be OK for a while.

Now watch me end up trading it soon
