Have an F150 now, rides like shit.
After waiting over 6 months for a ranger, it has now become second choice.

Looking at a couple frontiers and colorado/canyons this weekend.
I'm sure the frontier will be sold before I get to test it, they don't stick around long.

I would like to get a Chevy/GMC S10/S15/Blazer/Jimmy 2wd and drop an LS into it one day or built an old '29-'31 Ford T-Bucket or my dream car(s), kit car Ferrari 308 GTS/GTB or an A/C Cobra 289 :p

Ranger was my surprise second choice. I had an appointment to see a 2WD Frontier V6 (had a 2006 Nismo frontier that had 140K miles, ran great but the chassis was starting to rust badly). I saw a 2wd XLT/Sport Ranger at a local dealer on the way. I never considered the Ranger, but I figured I'd stop in to take a look. I liked that truck, but it was a Super Cab, and the rear seats were just too tight for my needs. The same dealer had a Ford Courtesy FX4/Sport Super Crew, with only 3200 miles. I drove it and I was sold. I bought the Super Crew FX4, and I'm still smiling...

Nothing. I already had a good car. We waited, it seemed like forever, for them to bring the Ranger back. Our eyes were on the Ranger the whole time. Very, very happy with it.:turkey:

I guess the Ranger was my second choice. I had a 2018 F-150 Lariat and traded down to a 2019 Edge while I waited on an early Bronco reservation. That started to fall apart and the Ranger Tremor was announced. Glad I ordered it. Still like the looks of the Bronco. That’s more of a romance/want. The Ranger fits my needs far better than the Bronco. Happy to be in something smaller than the F-series.

I've seen a few Colorados about and they look great. Don't know what they're like to drive etc

I test drove one a few months ago.

Seem to handle similiar to the ranger, but had little less throttle response. Took about half a second for the throttle body to respond to the pedal input. Not sure if it was an issue with that specific truck or model-wide issue.

Armrest on the door panel was too low, window sill too high. But it did absorb bumps well and did get up and go.

Felt like too much of a car interior wise to me, still with fords dicking around I am looking at GM's again. A co-worker ordered his canyon at roughly the same time, got his in 3.5 months...

I think the 1st gens are better, than the latest gens of them. I do like the take on the new GMC Syclone though. 750hp!

I drove and loved a 21 XL V8 F150 and a V6 2021 ZR2.
The F150 was just too big for what I wanted a truck for and the Chevy dealer wouldn’t come down on price enough for me. The Ranger was always the top choice for me though.

I honestly thought I would be buying a Tacoma (I really liked my brothers 2G Tacoma) after owning Rangers since 2000 (this is my 4th Ranger). But then I test drove the 3rd Gen Tacoma and hated it. I never considered the Ridgeline since it isn't a "real" truck. I didn't really consider the GM twins due to my brother and nephews horrible experience with their GM products.

I ended up placing an order for the 5G before I test drove one (they were non existent in December of 2018). In Jan or Feb of 2019, I finally was able to test drive one, and it confirmed my hope. Almost 3 years later and I have zero regrets on the decision. This has been a FANTASTIC truck for me.

FYI, My brother (who has owned Tacomas for almost 30 years now) ended up buying a Ranger and has been very impressed with it based on how much I like mine.
