anyones lower seat foam (drivers side) failed? i was looking under my seat yesterday and noticed it had chaffed and ripped along the bolster. kinda weird at 8700 miles for a 175lb guy.
10-4 on the warranty. It would be covered under your 3/36, unless they could prove it was caused by a screwdriver in your pocket that ripped it or something. Mine is still in great shape at 8 months/10,600 mi.If you slide in/out of your seat it will happen quick. Worth a shot to try and get the dealt to warranty it
Noticed after 3rd day of driving the brand new truck that fabric on seat started wrinkling up. Truck is 4 months new and got allotments to fix several problem areas that should not be happening in any new vehicle.the seats should be durability tested to last a hundred thousand miles of sliding your ass in and out.
anything less is bullshit in my opinion.
The foam seats on my driver's side rotted out from me aon my 2004 F150. I suspected it was from using the heated seat all the time through several different winters.anyones lower seat foam (drivers side) failed? i was looking under my seat yesterday and noticed it had chaffed and ripped along the bolster. kinda weird at 8700 miles for a 175lb guy.
exactly, visually the seat looks new. look underneath and you see the foam has ripped at the bolster. ill tell the dealer at the next oil changeOP is talking about the FOAM bolsters, right?
Not the seat fabric?
I second the post about not dragging accross it.
If it's the outside bolster that is failing it's almost assured that caused it. Even at 175 lbs.
Sounds like a good plan. Should be covered, there's no way that should happen at your mileage.exactly, visually the seat looks new. look underneath and you see the foam has ripped at the bolster. ill tell the dealer at the next oil change
