There are larger diameter magnetic mounts available that are thinner. But they aren't very powerful.

I may use 2 of my 150 pound magnets (or 4 if I make a bracket) to hold up a relatively lightweight cargo light bar / FU Light just below the rear window.

Ok that’s for the most part that I was thinking is for rear bed use… the stock bed light in my opinion is a zippo in a closet.. do you have that earlier in your build thread about how it’s wired up?

Just would have to figure a quick disconnect solution for power to the flood lights power.. (run something from the tremor fuse box in the engine bay through the firewall and when not in use tuck it under the the trim below the dash with a Velcro loop or something.).
The magnetically mounted FU light bar simply unplugs from the extension cable to the switch box. Then, pry off the magnets and remove the bar. And finally, cap off the plug end of the extension cable.

The FU / Cargo Light arrives Wednesday.
?
...and it will light up the bed when in white light mode.

...and it will deter tailgaters when in red light mode.

...it's gonna be bright AF !

I just noticed you don’t have your fog lights or headlights/high beams on in the pics… ??.. you will have no trouble seeing at night that’s for sure.
...yet to be installed. They also share the same 6-mode function as my 4 Cubes and 2 Bumper 7" Bars. It should be a cool light show on "combo-flicker" with all 12 LED Pods shining up front with my high beams on.

...and that's BEFORE adding a 300w 42 inch 52000LM light bar to the roof

I should math-up my Lumens...

?

118,400 Lumen coming off the front of the truck when I'm finished.

With 8100 Lumen coming off the rear of the truck to light up the bed and deter bad behavior.

Nice! post more pics of your truck when you can
With the 150# magnets attached.
It's pretty solid.
It's strong enough to stay put.
But not strong enough to stop a thief.
I'll need to get some windows decals that warn of 24/7 recorded video surveillance.

UPDATE: the magnetic mounts must be ok because I forgot the bar was attached and I drove all over town. I noticed it when I got home. It didn't move at all.

That truck would have been perfect! Reasonable too with the mileage and the fact it has the Roush package.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Did you buy that engine shroud?
It’s a JCR off road engine cover.. that is modified. (Relief cut to make clearance for the oil separator).. he has a mod list on the first page of this thread brother… it’s a pretty extensive list too ?

That truck has 200 fewer miles than mine.

I bought the engine cover used. It was installed and removed before the OP ever drove with it. He sold it to me for $100 so I didn't feel bad carving it up to fit around my Oil Separator.
