Roof trim deteriorated

Feb 4th 2019 was my pickup date. Mine is deteriorating by the windshield on the passenger side.

My 2019 several years back started to corrode and Ford wouldn't warranty it. Said trim didn't fall into the 6 year paint warranty. I'm not a happy camper about it and not happy with Fords response. So, I guess I'll have to do it myself.

I think that's why Ford doesn't want to warranty it, you have to pull the whole head liner to replace those trim pieces. I'm just going to tape them off to protect the paint, sand them and apply semi-gloss black paint to make them look good.

I see that and it really is too bad.

I’ll send our biggest bottle your way but you’ll have to wait until it worsens before applying it. You see, Duke’s 404 works best when the damage gets to the point where it looks exactly like dry, crusted on de-icing salt from Ontario’s roads.

303 Graphene PREVENTS chipping and peeling. Anyone can take a white crayon and wash it off with snake oil.

Might wanna just stick to mayonnaise.

Not white crayon but road salt - when I saw it this morning, there was a major double take!

I have a 2020 Ford Ranger SuperCrew XLT and the paint is chipping on the passenger side roof rail. It's chipping in 2 spots now.

Is anyone else experiencing this on their Ranger?

Does anyone know if this is a recall? I'm reading that this is happening to a lot of 2029-2020 Ford Rangers.
