You're lucky, I had to replace mine last fall (2 years) because I started noticing a musty smell one morning while driving it. That was when were were there in Arkansas and it was really humid last summer. I never changed mine once in 4 years in my '19 but it's super dry here.

Some of those cabin filters are very restrictive and can really slow airflow.
