I have contacted start x and they do not have a unit that will work on my 22 without rolling down windows, which defeats the purpose of a remote start.
So does anyone have experience with another remote start add on that will work?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Is there a reason your limiting yourself to Start x? I have used Cartoys products in the past on other vehicles and have been very satisfied...

I have a '22 and Start-X works fine with lock-unlock-lock. Mine's an XL, so maybe that's a difference - only one one-touch window .and key ignition. Mine could also be set to 3XLock.

The Start-X comes in two flavours - one for keyed ignition (mine) and one for push-to-start.

Also for key start:

For extra long range you can add an optional long-range RF kit. If you want to go all out, you can choose a cell phone module which provides you the ability to start from virtually anywhere you have phone service. The RF kits provide you with an additional remote that works from a much further distance.

That's odd, I have one of their remote start systems that covers up to 2023 and my windows don't roll down when I start it.

Lock unlock lock, activates the window module to roll windows down 1 inch. Defeating the purpose of remote start. I have the aussie box for windows

Ahh, I see. Not on mine though - I got the Dump Runner's Edition. =)

XL scab with 101A package because I couldn't believe that power-adjust mirrors weren't in the base model. =(

And what's an aussie box? I could only find reference to a subwoofer ...

I have recently bought the JSAlarm remote start on e-bay! I will get back to you when it comes in to see how it works!

Okay, I installed the Fortin unit last week. So I've had a lil time to use it. I like it, it works great. would use this again. The only con to it is the instructions have to be downloaded from their website and the instructions were very confusing to me. Once I got it all figured out, it really was an easy install. just crappy instructions.
