It does. Very convenient. I'd hate to see the performance without the turbo, or when it dies.

Have you even driven a Ranger 5G? does not sound like it....Something is wrong here....Troll alarm!

best,
Phil

This reminds me of a 3rd gen Taco owner on TW that was complaining about the Ranger he drove, Said it was slow.

Even the other Tacoma guys called him out on his BS, saying the Ranger may be many things but slow isn't one of them.

Everyone that asks a newbie question is a troll.
If I were facing the same decision now, I wouldn't buy. Simply too many issues for a new vehicle (in my case). However, I've received several compliments from complete strangers on the vehicle. They've obviously never driven one. It just cost me $18.00 for 1/3's tank of gas ($4.09 p/gallon). I get 18-22 mpg, which is not too bad. My 2018 F-150 V-8 got around 10-14 depending what I was doing. The tiny four-banger performs OK for a tiny motor. The Ranger needs a V-6 option. It does not drive like a truck. I think it handles well with just a little body roll. The cabin is pretty quiet from road noise. I have a '21 XLT 4x4 and the stock tires/suspension is pretty good. The vehicle sits high with good clearance. It has running boards, why I am not exactly sure. It's not that high off the ground. With all that, I'd still look at another truck.

You aren't allowed to complain about your truck on this forum, unlike every other forum. Now you will be called a troll. Enjoy the dictatorship.

"Any poster that attempts to use the forum to "bash" or "slam" the Ford Ranger, Ford Motor Company, the owners and administrators of this site, the moderators or other staff members, will have their accounts deleted"

"Ford Motor Company"
I spent 30 years listening to folks bash Ford....It was their (and your) loss....Thin skin, eh... Go ahead, you are the one that needs to establish credible credentials... not the other Forum members.

Now sell you Ranger and buy a Taco.... We all will be better off....

Phil

Mine spent a week back at the dealership and continues to be a PITA when it comes to weird noise. Not a Ford fan by any stretch, but saying silly crap is going to get some feedback. I took some heat for not being happy that a 30k+ truck was making weird noises, so I am not saying you are 100% wrong. Many fan boi's here, but Phil is a pretty straight shooter. More so considering he worked for the damn company. He helped me TS one issue as a non-issue and one issue as one that Ford needs to know about....

Its a really good truck for me so far. I iDo some work with it. I use it like a truck.
14 months and 31k miles or so. Just change oil religiously, or at a minimum every 10k. And the same with the other fluids. Just change like your sulposed too, something breaks or needs maintenance, just do it. That will keep any car running on the road really.
No breakdowns, or anythi g factory related.
Does awesome on my tows. I have been a little hard on my tranny so i will change fluid at 40 or 45 k miles
But nice trucks, it gets dirty, wash it.

Use tow mode when working, drive when its date night, and sport to put taco owners in your rear view mirror! LOL

I have never experienced such fan boys on a forum, typically you want want to solve issues you have as a group, has to be some compensation and kickbacks going on here.

The 5th gen Ranger community is certainly different from other groups I've been apart of, but to be fair I've seen some of the dumbest complaints about this truck. There are people that have legitimate complaints and mechanical issues with their truck. Then you have people who think their opinion on how the truck should run, drive, look, etc. equates to an issue with the entire platform. It all gets muddled together. It gets hard to decipher between people with actual issues and armchair engineers.

I swear to god that bird noise isn't going to beat me. I WILL WIN... well... the dealership will because I am done trying to stop it - but I think I had two noises. They got the more annoying one (bed not torqued down and a bushing rattling) - one to go (I think it's the brake adjustment... ???) . Not stupid IMO. That noise is stupid.... stupid noise... (walks off grumbling about shooting birds with 22LR to make me less unhappy about the bird noises).

2021 FX4 Lariat @ 7,000 miles in 4 months and it went to the dealer for 72 days. Ford treated me well thru the ordeal. Didn’t make it past 9 months of ownership, they promptly bought it back with zero questions. I really really liked it when it was working and I still think the ranger super cab is the best looking truck out there.

I was the statistic so i took one for the team. Everyone else should be ok for many years of ownership. I do have to say the app is something other manufactures could learn on what is a very good app.

I did find the FX4 rode nice when I carried 300 lbs in the back.
