Having a SCAB makes it easier to reach. I like it, true, it is small, I forgot to close it a few times..

That's not one of your bad human traits. ;)

I just reach back with my right arm and flick it open or closed. Works alright, of course I'd prefer it to be powered. I'm not very tall either.
There's no way I could reach that window and open it from the front seat lol. I did find an image of what your arms must look like

I've not found a reason to open mine yet aside from testing it when I was acting like I knew what I was doing when I picked the truck up from the dealer when it was new.

I can't stand the look of these new sliding rear windows, so I was happy mine didn't come with one!

Not gonna lie. There are some contortions involved. Certainly not a casual reach.

I ended up ordering a XLT w/302a pckg because I didn't want leather and hated the Lariat instrument cluster. I hardly ever open my slider but I like the way they look from outside. Seems like something is missing on the ones w/o the slider. My first Ranger (maybe a 1990 or so) had the slider that split open directly in the center. When closed it was a big black stripe the perfectly blocked the car behind you when looking through the mirror. Got used to it, but that was strange. Seems like they were pretty easy to jimmy open too.

About the only thing cool about a Toyota truck. Lol
It’s worthless. I saw a Toyota that the entire back window goes down with the push of a button. That was nice

I'd love to open it for fresh air but I can barely reach something off the back seat. No way I'm opening the sliding window. ? At least have the option for a powered one otherwise these little port holes are useless.

Small manual window is the most pointless thing, im not climbing in my back seat to open/close a 8 inch window. Only thing its good for is making it easy to center my window decal . I rarely used mine when I had a tacoma but at least all I had to do was push a button to open/close.

I searched for this for a couple minutes and cant seem to find a thread of anyone doing it - anyone with a 301A package truck replace their back glass for one with a sliding rear window like on 302A? Is there anything that would prevent this from happening?

I figure it's the same frame just different glass but unsure. Any info out there?
My 20 Ranger is a King Cab. A sliding rear window is not available from Ford that I know of. I have seen a rear window is available from Ford for the crew cab but its nearly $1k . The Glass company is not sure if it will fit plus what becomes of the one that's taken out . Resale value is only good if you have a buyer. My ultimate goal was to have a sunroof but looks like that was a pipe dream also .

Surprised no one makes an aftermarket electric one??

Ford doesn't make a "king cab" Ranger. ?

Both SCabs and SCrews have sliders available from the factory.
