I went to go get touch-up paint and the parts guy called it Lucid Red. I assume a prior year name for the color??

Today I learned that "Rapid Red" is Ford paint code M7444 and that the Lincoln division also uses the same exact paint but they call it "Red Carpet".

The actual paint is made by Ditzler PPG and their code for the paint is 952073.

Yeah , me too . I bought my 2020 last September and hadn't run across this thread . They sure do look purty when they're all cleaned up . I do need to get some better pictures this summer.

It’s the Ford Fox Kit. And yes, the ride quality has definitely improved. I changed to 265/70/17R Ko2 tires and had the kit installed around the same time so I especially noticed the ride difference! Feels like the truck just hugs the road.
I have lost about a fourth of the mpg I used to get though so far with both lol

This is my favorite shade of red. Wish they were still painting it. Maybe 2023 will bring a candy apple red metallic!

I purposely waited until Ford announced color choices for model year 2020 hoping that they would offer a dark blue metallic finish, no such luck.
So...I went the mid-life crisis route and ordered a '20 S/Cab in Rapid Red, the very first new vehicle I've ever owned in this color.
Rapid Red has grown on me somewhat, but I could be persuaded to order a '23 if it was offered in dark blue...
