I bought a 2020 ford ranger xlt in December of last year and since I’ve purchased it from time to time when making sharp turns while accelerating slightly there is a weird loud grind noise coming from what sounds like under the gas pedal, no mechanic I’ve seen has been able to see anything wrong and I can’t get it to make the noise for a mechanic to hear it just happens periodically, what could be the issue or has anyone else had a similar issue (stock 17in wheels, 265/65/17 tires, 2.5in leveling kit)

Most likely the ABS is kicking in. It can be a bit intrusive on the Ranger while turning and accelerating.

ABS - Anti-Lock Brake System. One of its functions is to prevent a tire from losing traction during acceleration. It will rapidly pulse the brake on a wheel that begins to break loose. That is probably what you are experiencing and is normal operation under those conditions.

Yes i would think the abs is kicking in. These trucks are super super tight. They do not, can not turn at high speeds to save their own lives. I have tested that on open parking lots. Anyway, it is probably the traction control and everything else kicking in to keep you driving straight.

I have noticed on mine that it doesn't happen when Traction Control is turned off.
