Good to know. I was wondering if the oily residue from diesel pusher may have gotten under the cover onto the CCM when the cover was mis aligned. Ill figure out how to remove the cover and clean the CCM itself. Man you've been much help. Thank you.
Did the oil get on the camera area of the windshield? That could also cause the error.

I had the cruise control and pre collision assist error after I went offroading once.

Took it to Ford and they said I had a loose connection with CCM module. I think they just plugged it back in. I see you already checked connections though.
Ill check those better. Thanks.

Yeah, its all over after a long tow, but I cleaned it really well.

Ok guys. Took the black box in the grill out today and opened the cover. Had a little spider web and raod grime so I cleaned it all off, hoping that was it. Still not cleared.
Forscan came in this afternoon and I've got a headache trying to download software. My old laptop has windows 7 and dont recognize the software. No application to open it. Ill try the Bluetooth setup on my phone later. Got to clear my hear.

That is the license key file for Forscan, not the program installation file. The installation file has the words FORScanSetup in it. The program works with Windows 7 and shouldn't be an issue. You use the license key file after installing the Forscan program. The current version is FORScanSetup2.3.70.release.exe.

Well, I wish. No change. Drove ut a few miles but still got message. My obd scan showed no errors. My android ford app shows it.

So I soaped it all down good and pressure washed the whole truck. (Towing it leaves an oily film on the front, from the rear diesel I guess)
Warning still on. I have the battery disconnected right now to try that yet again.
Would like to remove the radar cover to clean any lens that may be behind it. Thinking oily residue got to it since the cover was unlatched on one side. Can't figure out how to remove that cover. Would lime to remove camera cover on windshield to clean behind it also.
It’s not the windshield camera. That camera doesn’t feed data to collision or cruise control modules. It’s that sensor down below the bumper. Now, if the mounting studs were out on one side, it got bumped pretty good. There is a tilt adjustment for that whole sensor. It has an indexed lock screw. I can almost guarantee that the angle has changed. You need to tilt it back at least one click, maybe two.

For Adaptive Cruise Control - The system uses both the CCM & IPMA
Think of the (2) Modules combined - as TCAS

The CCM - sees an object and the IPMA identifies what it is - just without the actual overlay of the display and the transponder ident

The problem is - you need the code to isolate what part of the system (inputs) generate
TCAS - System Test - FAIL:)

Just try what I’ve suggested

OK guys. I'll get back to you soon i hope. I'm neck deep jumping through all the hoops of downloading, installing and learning to use forscan.

I turned the little hex head screw both directions. the head would not move.

Grab the whole thing and tilt it. You’ll hear a click. Most likely, it’s tilted too far down. But try different directions with it. The hex screws just torque the angle bracket bolt.

Click on the DTC tab on the left to get more information on decoding the DTCs. Also, your OBDII adaptor isn't fully supported by Forscan, so you may not be seeing all modules in the truck. They have a couple of approved adaptors listed on the Forscan web site. https://forscan.org/home.html

Click on each fault code to see what it means. Your adapter is not communicating with all modules in the truck. You should be seeing an IPMA module which is used for the collision detection system.
