Hi Mark,
My mom passed two weeks ago. 6 weeks prior she was given her last rites and sent home for comfort care where we thought any moment. The last time all brothers and sisters were together (7 of us) at one time was 15 years ago. We all prayed together and she lasted another 6 weeks. We all are thankful she could stay longer to enjoy her whole family one last time. It was a blessing for her and us.

Keep the faith and stand strong!!! I’m sure those are her thoughts and wishes!! Prayers for your family brother.

Thank you, enjoy the time you have with your mom through these difficult times. Yeah it’s rough but rewarding as well just keep the faith… It will keep you centered..

This is hard. And something we all must face. I lost my mom, dad, brother-in-law and a best friend in a 1.5 year span. My mom passed on my birthday. Trying time to say the least.

Sorry to hear about your mom Andy. At least you all had 6 more week together with her and enjoyed that time together. I hate that my parents are still back on the east coast and that I don't get to see them as much. They use to come out here every year and stay for a month but haven't since since Covid hit. I haven't been back there since moving ( I really don't like it there) but I'm starting to think I should make a surprise visit soon.

Mark I am still praying and will be until your mom is healed or we reach the end. Look how even in this sickness, your mom has helped pull this community around in such a positive way. I hope you and your family can continue to find good in the middle of such pain. Sounds like you are doing amazingly well in the midst of suffering. You are obviously strong and caring. The world is fortunate to have people like you.

mom was released from hospital this afternoon. long dang day. i gotta stay up a couple more hours to check on her, started a new med she may have reaction. apparently she has a uti and ear infection which caused her to show symptoms of another stroke. ct showed no new damage thankfully. she still is not saying much but did eat pretty well and is in her own bed. Hopefully things go smoothly i need some sleep too. havent got much since friday and gotta be at work in the morning. Thank you everyone for all the prayers and support it really does help!

I went through a similar experience with my mom, a long time ago now. Some days all you can do is put one foot in front of the other and keep marching. Keep the faith for brighter days ahead. You have a lot of people pulling for you both.
