Pretty cool setup. What's the experience like sleeping up high with that setup, and especially when it's windy?

Is that a portable shower? Do you like it?
I’ve haven’t had it super windy yet, we had some wind that would move the truck but the tent wasn’t bad at all. A little noise on the rain fly but nothing crazy. It has locking sleeves for the gas struts also so it won’t collapse. I like sleeping up high off the ground makes me feel better from stuff on the ground. I do admit it sucks to wake up in the middle of the night to take the dog to the bathroom but I’ll deal with it.

I think there are pros and cons to all set ups. Like losing a campsite to explore the area if you want etc.

The portable tent is a bathroom, shower, changing room. It has mesh around the edges to drain water but a solid floor to get off the dirt etc. It works great. I can hold a portable shower bag or put my nozzle from water port in there and use that. My wife loves it. Her favorite piece of camping gear hands down.

Went to Uwharrie National Forest in NC over Labor Day weekend with a buddy and his Gladiator. Didn't take too many pics, but did get about an inch of three wheel action.

Nice place! Took my old '06 POS, I mean Frontier NISMO, there a few times "back in da day."

By the way for those of you non-bilingual folks. NISMO is Nissanese for "gotta put this f***er in the shop again."

Just got back from a trip that took us through Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. We put on as many offroad miles as we could. Camped on Blm land. Money saved helped cover the cost of gas.
Nice set up!!!! I mean nice! Envious here. Jeez, where is my truck already?!
Plus your Tremor is even the correct color!!! :like:

Thanks Friday yet. I built the camping rig in the 2 weeks before we left for trip, axle was installed the morning we left Illinois. I didn't want the wind drag having the rack high enough for the annex so I used linear actuators with remote control to lower it for traveling. I had most of the stuff laying around to build it. Not fancy, just solid and functional. Also has 40 gallons of water and hot shower on board

@UnregistredHypercam2 and I hit a local trail. We had to flex out on the rocks. We're both running OME HD kits in the front. I have SD shocks in the rear with Icon leaves in configuration 3 and Jon has HD shocks with OME medium leaves. Then we hit snow. As Jon put it, the steering wheel was just there for suggestion. Sometimes, you'd turn the wheel and go in the opposite direction. I don't get nervous in cars and I was uncomfortable a couple times.
