Thanks Friday yet. I built the camping rig in the 2 weeks before we left for trip, axle was installed the morning we left Illinois. I didn't want the wind drag having the rack high enough for the annex so I used linear actuators with remote control to lower it for traveling. I had most of the stuff laying around to build it. Not fancy, just solid and functional. Also has 40 gallons of water and hot shower on board

@UnregistredHypercam2 and I hit a local trail. We had to flex out on the rocks. We're both running OME HD kits in the front. I have SD shocks in the rear with Icon leaves in configuration 3 and Jon has HD shocks with OME medium leaves. Then we hit snow. As Jon put it, the steering wheel was just there for suggestion. Sometimes, you'd turn the wheel and go in the opposite direction. I don't get nervous in cars and I was uncomfortable a couple times.

Since @UnregistredHypercam2 and @Colo_Ranger didnt invite me to play in the snow, I had to go find my own

Snow wheeling sucks, we got stuck a bunch (some areas had 20+ inches of snow), had to use the traction board 7 times!

As a Michigan native, snow wheeling either comes with multiple vehicles or very good recovery gear. I won't venture far into snow without either (primarily both). It's fun but man it can get sketchy.

We were out hunting for an Xmas tree in the State Forest, most of the FS roads were cleared but some of the side ones had sections of drift that had piled up pretty deep. I planted the need for a winch into my partners mind lol

I really love snow, I miss driving in it (I was the guy that went out in the middle of the night in a blizzard to play in it), and haven't really been in any except for 2 short night trips to Big Bear in CA when the storms came through.
