Went tent camping for a day with my wife. It’s worth the trouble after working 15 nights straight of 12 hr shifts. 180 hrs at work and month only half over.

24 miles up the mountain on non paved trail to get to free camping spots. Cars never go up there most don’t even know about the location. We had the mountain to ourselves, never saw anyone and it’s 30F cooler up there.

Camped out near Canyonlands NP for a few days, family member gave the dispersed camping location which was perfect.
