Honestly that's sometimes the most fun kind of off roading. Sending it with friends at the park is fun, but exploring national forest trails off the grid is just so relaxing and fun! Love the pics.Truck got a little dirty on our beautiful spring day Superior National Forest explorations this weekend. Roads weren't too bad, nothing hardcore by any means just mostly slop and mud. 2H most of the time, 4H in a few discreet places where the snow was still a little deep yet.
And for anyone interested, we did not go beyond the plow bank here. I probably would have at least tried it if I had a winch, or max trax, or somebody else out there with me, but not on our own with "meh" tires for this kind of warm slushy sloppy snow. Just meant more exploring to try and get around is all! haha
Yeah, for sure! I don't go off-roading as an activity, I go off-roading as a means to get way out there, to find those hidden gems and special places where not many people have been.Honestly that's sometimes the most fun kind of off roading. He has 35's and was jealous of how easy I made things look, the turbo at altitude helps a lot! When it started hailing and then raining it turned really slick and having Trail Control came in very handy going down some steep hills under control while his basically just slid. How did the Ranger fare vs the Pro4X Xterra?
Looks like he had 33" MTs
Mind sharing some photos / steps you took to clear 35's up front? What offset / wheel size did you end up running? Thanks!Ran the ranger hard on a modified Mojave Road this past weekend, with a few buddies (and a few rangers). Glad to say I think my clearancing for 35s is finally done after a couple of long nights and trimming ?. So much variety of terrain, but the western half has been demolished since my west to east trip in December (we went from nipton through the NY mountains and met up with the traditional Mojave Road this time).
I'll pm you, it's a long list ?Mind sharing some photos / steps you took to clear 35's up front? What offset / wheel size did you end up running? Thanks!
