Took the Ranger out to holcomb creek trail in big bear. What a challenging trial it was, took a little damage. Im very happy I went with the Shrockwork sliders as they were definitely put to work today and did not disappoint, saved me from a ton more damage. Fun trail!
So RAD! Definitely looks like those sliders were a great investment! They're on my list for sure now!

Haven't done this trail in a really long time. Last time I did I was open and on 31's. Ever since that trip my explorer holds a few less gallons:LOL:

Let me next time you go, I'd be up for a trip. Although, I probably would not bring Ranger depending on the trail, as I'd like to save the body.

I wish I had a picture of it. I saw a Tacoma yesterday that had a steel rear bumper that wrapped around the sides almost all the way to the back tires. Something like that would have possibly protected that white Ranger above from that sort of damage.

I'll definitely let you know when I head out there again! Need to get a high clearance rear bumper first.

Yes I know what you're talking about I've been looking for one for the ranger but no luck. Might have to see if I can get something custom made.

We use to run an advanced off road school down to Horse Thief Flats. The engineers on these trips had no idea of what challenging trails were before this nor how capable the trucks really are..

That mud...it's the best kind of mud! Sloppy, thick, peanut buttery goodness :)
You're not kidding! Back in the early 90's my parents had a house down there and we drove down a few times with our dirt bikes in tow. At the time I had a KX 125,hardest riding I've ever done in that slop! Then when it's dry your finding sand in places you didn't know it could get into. :lipssealed::giggle:
