Poor Factory Quality Control

Just want to say I just drove from Pensacola Fl. back to Tulsa, flogged the hell out of it all the way because my camera's went off, thought something was wrong at my home. not a hiccup, got 25 mpg on mid grade 89 drove though tons of rain the truck handled great. Have had the truck for 3 months have 6240 miles and it is perfect, guess I got lucky.

It was before my time but my favorite Ford campaign was this one.

I'm partial to it 'cause in the 90's my old man's daily driver was a '55 Ford truck powered by a 400 c.i. Pontiac small block we had built together. It had a clapped out interior, a two knob Jensen stereo, and it's only "luxury" was Power steering that we had added. Clamshell front end all louvered out and red oxide primer coating the whole truck. It was a rat rod before the term existed.

My step-mother airbrushed a light bulb on the tailgate, inside sat a little mouse chewing on a piece of cheese.

I once drove a '53 2T dump truck. You had to double clutch or it was a mess. It either didn't have synchros or they were toast. I drove it in '84 a few times.

Yes back in the day truck didn’t actually come with the rear bumpers, it was in pay extra item and usually you get a steel dealership bumper that had the dealers name stamped on it.

Lol I noticed it on my driver side window. I can never get it to seem clean.... and the windshield I sort of can see it if I look. I assume it’s from the UV and sound dampening layers. I can sort of live with it. Around here can’t keep windows clean long. Salt and dirt in winter and pollen in summer
