Does this count as a pizza cutter? It's comparable to the stock width, but at least 3" taller. And at least $100 more expensive.

Last few times I bought tires at this shop I paid about $2 more a tire than getting them online and then bringing them in to be mounted.

Thats not bad, places around me are awful.

I had to have my finace call and cancel an order she made for tires from a local place because when she told me what she was quoted I about choked.

They wanted to sell her 70$ tires for something like 105$ a piece.. when she called and canceled explaining she found the same tires for cheaper the place naturally asked her how much.. she told them and they just laughed.

Idk if they were just take advantage of a woman, or if their prices are really that out of touch... either way.. they lost my business lol.

Last I heard, Town Fair tire will match as-delivered prices from online sellers. Also, if you have reason to be near Tire Rack’s Connecticut warehouse (Windsor, I think) you can pick them up without paying for shipping.

Sullivan Tire quoted my wife a price for tires, NWT quoted me the same tires. Sullivan Tire wanted something so much more I could have bought 6 from the cheaper place and still had cash left over.

@HenryMac - Thanks for the warning... I did wrap the rockers with the expectation that it would offer more protection from stones, looks like I'll be using it!

@r1ch999999 - It's the BDS 3.5" kit with Fox coilovers, I think in the end I have about 2.5" of lift in the front. The tires do rub on the stock intrusion beams in the rear, so I'll be replacing those tonight with the ones BDS includes in the kit.

@Blmpkn - Bumpers are the SVC Baja front and rear. LOVE them.

What is the offset on those wheels? It almost seems like either a zero or negative offset.

Thats pretty much the "stance" I'm after. Only difference is my wheels will be 8" not 8.5 so should be perfect, nice.

Did you opt to use some hub bore adapters or are you running without?

@Blmpkn No adapters yet. I wanted to get them mounted up and see whether I thought the width was correct. I think I'm happy, may just run without long term unless I can find some that are also >1" spacers. I haven't started looking yet.

EDIT: After re-reading the above, I don't have a lot of lug left to play with. May just play it cool as is for awhile.

I've been looking hard at these tires. I know they fit with stock wheels and a 2.5" lift with no mods to the crash bars. Have you noticed a decrease in acceleration or performance? What about stopping? Thanks!

The adapters i mentioned are for taking up the gap between the hub bore of the wheel and the actual hub on the truck. Theyre mainly for hubcentric wheels, but people do use them on lugcentric setups where the bore on the wheel is larger than the hub on the truck. I guess just for some piece of mind.

Really?! No mods to the crash bars with a 2.5 inch lift on stock wheels and tuere is no rubbing at all?! If so I may consider that pver the 285/70-17.

@NvrFinished - VERY noticeable. Both acceleration and braking are compromised, but there was plenty of both to begin with. I picked these tires partially because they were lighter than wider tires, but there is no escaping the physics of the larger diameter.

@Blmpkn - Understood. While I fully respect the benefits of the hubcentric system as designed, I believe that for my intended uses the detriments of running lugcentric are few.

@Frenchy - My zero offset wheels do rub the rear intrusion bars, I can see how stock offset wheels with the same tires could potentially clear.
