On the above mentioned trip I found that the topper had slid forward and touched my cab. No damage but I wanted to make sure this could never happen again.
I bought some 1-1/2" aluminum angle from Home Depot and drilled some mounting holes and used some t-nuts I had leftover from a Xtrusion Overland project and I was able to bolt in a "stop" to prevent it from sliding forward past new bracket.

That is why I bolted my bedrack and Tonneau cover to the bed rails. Did not trust the screw down clamps.
