Hello Ladies and Gents.

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Ford Performance tune.

I wanted to ask what to expect? Anything I should know before I proceed? I know I will make sure battery is fully charged and use 91 from now on.

My truck is stock except for slightly bigger tires.

Just wanted general feedback, install tips, suggestions, your thoughts on this tune for those that have it installed, especially on a stock truck.

My biggest reason for installing is the cranky transmissions and the shift patterns. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks y'all

It works great. Pretty straightforward install. Yes it will really help the transmission shifting.

just follow the provided instructions and you’ll be fine.

I did the FPT, K&N provided filter, and Borla Cat Back and just love driving in Sport Mode

ENJOY

I followed the instructions to a T and it errored on me rewriting the very first block. It ruined 2 modules and costed me over 2k to fix. I would highly reccomend getting it installed by Ford to save any headaches. After its installed by one of their techs you can register it in order to even be considered not at fault if something goes wrong down the road. Good luck!

I am thinking of doing the same. Yeah more airflow, but more debris too. Especially in the desert here.
They should make the filter optional. What a waste to throw it away. But I agree on reasons not to use it.

I kept the K&N to swap out with my AFE Dry S filter while it's out for cleaning. I also have my OEM filter with less than 1000 miles on it.
I had only one instance, on the interstate, where I had a rougher shift when it dropped a gear on a hill after the tune. Since that time, no issues

I'm very interested in how this turns out as I am considering the same tune.

If it's like LMS tuner it takes a few and doesn't want to you to mess with anything. No doors being opened etc.

Roll the window down and start the process from outside the truck, reach in and start it. So you can walk off and not sit there like an idiot. I was that idiot watching error messages flash on the screen and getting warmer almost a year ago when I did mine.
