Offroading with zero alternator problems

So I've seen the threads about alternator failure and I wanted to share my experiences. I am on sasquatch wheels and tires with about 4 inches of lift, stock skid plates with an air dam tuck and I have gone through some very sketchy stuff with no alternator problems, see below. Yes we have medium to low mounted alternators and no they are not sealed but if you are smart about maintaining your truck and take steps to keep things protected you should be just fine. In that photo I had water get into the cab even and was like 7 inches away from the air intake if that. So to those who are super dejected about their alternators get plates and or do the tuck, dont fly into water at 30 mph and be smart and you should be ok.

No lies, but I do have a very loving relationship with my truck so she treats me right.

Also my buddies who have stock ranger tremors go through a lot of what I do and they do just fine

Yep these are great trucks. You let 1 out of 20,000 have some particular problem and all the sudden everyone gets worried..

I would also attribute it a lot to user error..... Not to be a dick but the vast majority of people don't know what they are doing. I have been very fortunate that I grew up doing stuff like that and got to take a really cool tactical driving course that went into it a little and a proper offroading training. Knowledge is power, if you go offroading bare minimum watch videos learn some stuff the proper techniques tips and tricks, not only is it interesting and fun you also get to learn from the mistakes of others without making them yourself.

Don't drive like an idiot and properly prepare and it won't lol, hopefully. I'm definitely crossing my fingers and knocking on wood that im not jinxing myself. But after all the threads of doom and gloom and people being fearful I figured I should share my experiences.

clay sucked in the tires, maybe could have dug myself out but I didn't wanna risk sinking further and hydrolocking lol, also water coming into the cabin made me say screw it just get me out
