No. Either way, you should be showing the dealer stat. Make them repaint that thing under warranty.

Is it parked in the vicinity of a chemical plant or rail yard with tank cars? It could be from something airborne, although other vehicles might also be affected. It looks like the reflection of a T-shirt

Hi Jason,

Hope the dealer handles this without hassle to you..sad you are having this experience. If the dealer balks at all...open up a trouble ticket with Ford Customer Service. Something that puzzles me is how some of this stuff gets through the end of line inspectors....Never should have left the plant this way.

best,

Ya, I have a spot in my paint that straight just cracked. I went to dealer, Ford denied warranty. Opened ford dispute case, as dealer had instructed (they thought it should be covered). Ford dispute case went nowhere. Ford said “there are no programs in place currently to fix issue” they said “maybe you could go to another dealer for different pictures” such a flat out joke. If you actually needed better pictures ask for them. I shouldn’t have to go play merry go round with dealers for your satisfaction of pictures. Send someone to look for themselves, or ask for pictures. I was out of town for work when I was dealing with their response, came back to this rona mess, so haven’t done anything since.
I have come to my conclusion- it’s a cheap truck, I bought it because it was cheap, apparently they painted it cheap.

Time for another eye exam: I thought the blem was the T-shirt looking splotch in the paint! It wasn't until now that I saw the little blisters.

That looks like a lot of dust/debris that landed in the paint during the painting process. My Ranger has a few of those on some of the body panels. I think they call them "nibs" in the auto body world. Pretty unacceptable for paint on a brand new vehicle.

Or it was damaged after it left the plant and "repaired" by the dealer ?
From what I've been told, it happens much more frequently than most people realize. Those types of things are quietly fixed.
