What's this? Dried paint?

So I gave her a bath today and never noticed till today ? This paint like rubber hanging from btm? 1 piece came off....it's like too much paint maybe and dried? It's like rubber? No biggie just curious if anyone else has this above sidesteps under doors ..

It's the drip of the primer or undercoat or whatever. It's on all the rangers. Sort of messy, but doesn't hurt anything.

Yeah it's on the pinch welds on mine. I picked some of them off and looked, and there is still smooth paint under it so I'm not too worried.

it holds in your plugs on the rockers.
dont touch it. they'll fall out.

What's the rockers and what's the function of the plugs?

It's all normal, the rocker just a structural strong point of your truck... they help keep the whole thing rigid and from separating ... they also help somewhat if you high center your vehicle the underside takes some of the brunt but they are not load bearing for that.

Also the plugs are just grommets that hide the threads or any holes put there from the factory.The underside ones there allow you to tap in so you can add accessories like side steps or rock sliders and things of that nature...
