OEM letters

Where can I buy OEM 2020 XLT Off-road tailgate letter inserts? One snapped off and I don’t want to replace all of them. The dealer told me it’s NOT a part they put on?

The dealer is correct, they are not a OEM part and there are dozens of companies that make these aftermarket letters. Even if you find the same manufacturer (good luck with that), you‘ll likely have to buy a complete set. They don’t cost much ($25-$50).

Well fudge…yea I can find lots of them in full sets but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of replacing them all. I guess that’s what I’ll need to do. Thanks.

I'm going to buy 2 sets when I get mine, then I'll have single letter replacements. Another full set will $150 in a year likely lol.

Yes...either simple vinyl letters or raised plastic letters. Multiple designs, colors, ect.

Thanks. Honestly I always figured those would be dodgy concerning lifespan before coming off especially the raised ones. I’m not sure I’m into the look anyways but I have considered it

The better quality raised letters attach via 3M trim tape....same tape that is used to attach most body trim to vehicles.
If applied correctly, to a clean surface, they will stick indefinitely. Mine are only on for 1 1/2 years, but still are "tight"

Friend of mine had the raised ones on his Tacoma and the tape held great, but the paint started blistering off them.

I have the original bought from Ford polished stainless on my 2019 Lariat. I think the manufacturer was Putco. They're holding up quite well, no problems.

Yeah I got the smoked chrome from the dealer with the matching ovals. The inserts have been on over a year now and no problems.

When installing the aluminum Ford Accessories letters like @Kodiacnb's,
clean the indented areas with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) first. It is best to install on a cool, but not freezing cold tailgate, and press them on firmly once you have centered them. Do not wash or drive in rain for 24 hours. Mine have held up for 2 years with frequent soft touch and touch free carwashes.

A quick search on Amazon and you will find a litany of options. I chose the raised plastic ones (not those vinyl stickers) with the 3M adhesive (I would provide a link but they aren’t available any longer). I’ve had mine on for right at a year now and have had zero issues with them.

There are many brands. These seem nice because they aren't just a vinyl sticker:
