It's been 2 weeks and the toyota dealership hasn't listed my Ranger. I'm going to guess due to the mods that I left on they are just going to auction it.

I look forward to seeing it on the news blown up by a hellfire missile one day after it's been sold to ISIS.

Ranger is gone. Explorer is here.

I will absolutely miss the ranger. I bought it thinking it would be a forever truck, and it would have been, but family comes first.

I got a few last day shots of the ranger before it goes to a new home.

But you guys aren't so lucky. I'll still stick around these parts.

I wonder what kind of influence you are gonna be (and by extension us) on the Exploder - er Explorer forums.

There are only two explorer forums that I could find. One is completely dead, like a post a week. The other is the Explorer ST Forum, which I joined even though I don't have an ST. There are not nearly as many mods for explorers as there are the Ranger.

Also if you want to delete the roof rails to make it look like a cop car... it's $600 for the parts to delete it... Isn't that nuts???

$600 well spent, I would say. I never have been a fan of roof rails.

Were the roof rails on your Ranger OEM? I don't think I have ever seen them on a 5G.

No, I added the European 5G roof rails.
For the overland crowd it might be a small market. Surprised no one imports them.

I think I've seen molded windsheild visors with mounts for lights.

The explorer is a great vehicle for us. I still miss the ranger on occasion but the explorer just couldn't be more perfect for our family. It tows great, I bought a brand new Honda ATV with a plow home and of course the explorer barely felt it. I also added a Ford engine block heater to help things warm up faster in the cold months up here in WI.

Ive since deleted the roof rails and my winter tires are old police take-offs. I thought for sure this thing looks like a cop car, but that doesnt seem to trick anyone... or maybe most drivers are so oblivious anyway.

Ran into a 'maybe issue' after turning over 50k miles i did a full service. New spark plugs, front diff, center diff, trans fluid and filter, and rear diff. All came out great except the rear diff had so much glitter I thought it just got back from a strip club... im running it another 3k miles then ill change it again. If its still glittery ill take it to the dealership and see if they'll do something since its still under power train warranty. There's no symptoms, but the chunks sure were concerning. The Timberline has a Torsen LSD rear end. So we will see how that goes. Otherwise its been rock solid.

The local dealer was willing to replace some of the interior pieces we had concerns with. So there she goes. Ranger is gone. Explorer is here. It's got 38k miles to the 60k on the ranger. Really the intent was less about getting something newer and more about something that fits the family, and is nicer to commute in. This ticks both of those boxes. I'm really impressed with how the explorer drives and the refinement of the interior and minimal road noise.

I will absolutely miss the ranger. I bought it thinking it would be a forever truck, and it would have been, but family comes first. I pulled the wheel spacers and molle panels but sold it with the CAI, AFE intake, roof rails (im proud of that install), deaver leaf springs and OME shocks on all 4 corners, also all lights are LED. And unlike some of you I'm not ditching it for a competing midsized truck :p. Just it's family friendly Ford brother. I did already order the integral factory off road lights for the grill, and a catch can :).

I got a few last day shots of the ranger before it goes to a new home.

I like your Explorer! My Aunt Claydean has a silver 20 Platinum edition Explorer and my older cousin Carmen has newer model white base package Explorer. BTW, I like your build up of the Disco Range Rover.
