Thanks sounds fantastic! Do you remember what pipe extension you bought?
I had my local muffler shop do my muffler delete,They used a 30" long pipe, and 3"s in diameter.

@lohchief ,
Muffler delete video....Re-done today.. give it a second while I start the truck...
Doc, it sounds deeper and meaner than all the installed systems I've heard here.

I finally got my exhaust sounding the way I wanted it today.

I recently did the muffler delete, but on my truck it sounded like Auto Stop Start.

My wife hated it, I grew to hate it, and was about to buy the Magnaflow to put in place of the 3" pipe that I had welded in.

Then I happened across this guy...

Like a mini Flowmaster and only around $22.

I got one with a damaged box off Amazon for under $20.

Inlet and outlet are 3" ID so I cut out a section and it slipped right over the ends of the pipe I had installed.

Installed it today with clamps and......

Dare I say it? It sounds GOOD!

I'm hoping it will only improve as it breaks in but right now I am extremely happy with it.

Deeper tone, zero drone, and I swear the truck seems peppier but that may be because the exhaust doesn't sound like a riced out Accord any more.

If I'm still this happy with it in 2 weeks I'll go by and have it welded in.

The biggest sound difference is inside the cab.

Much more pleasant now.

Nope, I got the aluminized.

I wanted to go on the cheap to try it out since I was basically planning to have to remove this and put in a Magnaflow.

If I knew then what I know now, I would've spent the extra $10 for the stainless version.

I wonder how bad that's going to smoke and smell when all that paint get's up to temp.....??
Based on the reviews, the paint will be gone after a couple hours runtime and then you're left with the aluminized steel.

As I mentioned to Phil, if I knew then what I know now I would've gotten the stainless version.

Video Please.
Regards
I'll try to get some video when I get a chance.

Here's a video I did from inside the cab.

Shot from my S8 sitting in my handy dandy phone mount.

Hope this helps.

As long as the stock muffler is removed,IF one can keep their foot out of it,we'll enjoy tons more power, and super mpg's as well. With a foot in it,the ranger hauls ass,no two ways about it. It is just plain FUN.:devil:
