You would be amazed at how versatile it is. It even blows away the screens Ford is using in the new Rangers.

Yea. I have looked at several. Prices around $1,600. Is that a good price range for them to pay to have it installed? Have looked at 9ne that was closer to 2 grand. Im still doi g my research and getting ideas from those that have them as to how well they work and all that.

Yup. Mine cost @ $1685 after tax & shipping. Best money I've spent so far and my list of upgrades is long. I really know about the more expensive versions. The Gen6 has been trouble free for me. You can actually manage the install in your garage. I did it on my own. It was intimidating but not hard as long as you follow along with the video.

Im pretty good with this kind of 8nstall, so was contemplating doing it myself. One of the places I looked at to purchase would not even sell it to me unless I agreed to have it professionally installed at an installer near me that I could choose. I thought that was rather arrogant. But I guess they had issues with warranty.
I know what you mean about long list of upgrades. I have added quite a few myself already. Thnx man.

While the front may be the dominant the rear still provide some added depth/envelopment to the sound stage within the vehicle. I would not look to only upgrade half. For now, I'm leaving mine stock, only speaker update I've made so far was to add the B&O center dash speaker, but that is for the GMRS radio. I have a pair of Sony XM-754HX amps along with a 10 band passive EQ in the garage that were last in my 99 Accord that I may one day bring out of retirement.

Not a lot of help but I talked to a guy with an F-150 that had a non B&O, he only replaced the speakers with Focal and it sounded amazing to me. Unfortinatly I did not get what model # he used, Crutchfield had several. I will see if I can get that info

Factor into your purchase,,, Country of Origin. Most of the Chinese units require you to contact them on "China Time" which is like 4am. Linkswell is US based and their customer service is outstanding. Especially if you have a Facebook account.

There are groups on Facebook dedicated to hating these devices but +90% of them all got burned buying Chinese garbage off Amazon and they couldn't get customer service support.

I scored some used Pioneer TS-D1730C component speakers 🔊 6.75 'subs' and tweeters for cheap. The speaker adapter harnesses I see appear to ignore the tweeter lead and run from the plug only to one pair of soeaker connectors. I haven't gotten into the doors yet since I plan on going in with sound deadening when I do this. I presume the 'crossover for the factory tweeter is just a capacitor so my guess is that I should use the speaker connector for the Pioneer crossovers and either run new wire for the replacement tweeters?

Im not adding an amp - these 2 ways are 60W RMS. I'll have to double check the sensitivity (88 db) vs. stock.

It's been a while since I've done car audio installations.
