Does anyone know if you can upgrade (replace) the B&O amp/subwoofer and not use the Zen?:
https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT889/zen-a2b-dsp12a-a2b.html

I know there is a thread or two using the above, but afaik it was required because of the ANC/ASC (ie. active noise cancellation & fake engine noise) and the install I've seen was before you could disable these with forscan.
So now that these can be disabled, is the Zen still required?
I've looked, but haven't found anything that discusses this

I don't think you can, you'll need the NavTv to remove the factory amp.

Thanks. I re-read the B&O thread more carefully and realized I took away the wrong information the first time I read it. I see now the Nav is needed to correct the signal, which drops bass as the volume is increased. At least that's how I understand it. This may be incorrect, but the take-away is the same.......need the Nav

I went looking at what they offer on the web site. Lots of useful plug and play solutions. A bit pricey but still nice stuff. I could easily drop a few 1000 there so had to close that tab and fast ?

I think it has to do more with the Can Bus. You need something to process all that info. You check out the F150 forums? Not many high end builds here
