Just received a NOCO Genius 10, new from Amazon, but it came with no operating instructions. How do you get to repair mode? I tried it, you press and hold the power button, then toggle to Repair mode, then it just blinks for a few hours, then just shows a yellowed out power button. Did it actually do anything?

Press and hold the 12V Repair button for 3 seconds.

After reading the manual that was supplied, it looks like Repair mode is simply a Equalize Mode for the Charger. Not something you normally find for 12 volt batteries. That said once it is finished, it will go back to normal charge mode. If it is yellow, then it is at roughly 75% charge. I would leave it be until it fully charged or you may need to replace the battery.

If you have not changed the Battery SOC level using Forscan, charging the battery to 100% SOC won't matter as the Ford BMS will immediately discharge the battery back to 75% SOC the first time you drive the truck.

It is what it does. Stock Ford BMS settings are not healthy for your battery..... but the upside is you are politically correct and may see an extra 0.1 mpg gain in fuel mileage! Maybe.

When I say yellow, I mean the power indicator button, not the progress display.

I have not applied the NOCO Genius to the Ranger yet, just my lawn mower battery. I would like to use it on my wife's Edge once in a while because she doesn't drive much.

I leave my noco 10 on my 21 Ranger Lariat 24/7 without any issues and still on original battery.I hung a pigtail out the front and leave it always plugged in as I park in my garage.

Sometimes my vehicle sits for 2-3 weeks without starting so the noco keeps the battery charged.

Thanks for that. It was definitely not included with the charger. I am still a little confused what happens in repair mode. All I see is the Repair LED flash for a while, then I guess it goes back to standby at some point.
It is de-sulfating the battery in repair mode. It is an approximately 4 hour cycle.

Thanks for everyone's help, and the link to the operating manual. I won't be installing it on the Ranger. I want to have it free for other things like the lawn mower and the wife's car. I can drag my solar generator out to the driveway to use it so I don't have to drag a cord across the driveway.
I am officially retiring my old maintainer and 1A trickle charger. (Giving them to a coworker. I don't like to keep crap I will never use again.)

Using it on your Ranger can only help. But you are fighting an uphill battery until you set the SOC threshold higher or unplug the BMS sensor

I am not fighting anything because I am not trying to fix anything. I am already running an onboard desulfator. Someday I will adjust the SOC, but not too worried about.
