They'll probably be sticking a "For sale" sign in the front yard. From what I've heard...all it takes is 1 winter. Rumor has it all the U-Haul trucks leave Montana.
We are a special breed of tough/ or crazy. lol

You're probably right. That's why I moved out here, no more snow!

I think you guys love what you love. You have to be tough (not so crazy) and work with what you have. My sister thinks she can just move and leave behind all her frustrations. That's part of her baggage. The sad thing is that she's picking a place that she is not remotely ready for. I'd love to travel through Montana, see all the great places...and get out before the winter. I suppose most folks do just that. My sister...she's the crazy one. I still love cheeseburgers. She thinks she's gonna bring Georgia to Montana. I have my doubts...

I like nice wine and sushi. Not completely backwards here. But if they are moving to the middle of nowhere, there is still lots and lots of that here!

No disrespect. The cities have great things to offer. I had college friends that used to winter camp in Missoula. I thought they were crazy, though. My sister is seriously out in the boons. That is the problem...she thinks it's a camping trip on a dude ranch. You guys do have a wild side out there. I think, for her, it's early closing time at the mall. I'm not even holding my breath...

As teenagers in Calgary, we viewed Montana as the “Wild West”. Open containers permitted, a low drinking age and no posted speed limits. We would make winter trips to Kalispell for skiing and beer runs to Babb whenever the breweries in Alberta were on strike.

Come to think of it, it WAS the Wild West!

For anyone who gets in a wreck in a newer vehicle and it's not your fault, make sure you file a diminished value claim. They definitely won't offer it up. When I was hit in December of '19 in my truck, the damage was $5500. However, I filed a dimished value claim and they sent me a check for $6200 to cover the amount the vehicle had diminished in value due to having an accident on carfax.
Sorry this is way old but got rear ended 2 weeks ago and it’s in the shop, do I need to do anything on my part for the dimished value claim like research wise on “how much value im losing?” And I’ve read up on it a little but just want to know what exactly You did in your case before reaching out to the insurance person I’ve been dealing with. 2nd time ever with an accident but the last was a total so I never even had to worry about this part
