Just an update - there is now a service note about this in the Ford service system, though it doesn't really tell us much we don't already know (and I'm a little worried about the troubleshooting path highlighted in italics, given how mine can come and go...)

SSM 50670 - 2021-2022 Ranger/Bronco, 2022 Explorer - 2.3L EcoBoost - Lack Of Power
And Illuminated MIL With DTC P25B4 - Built On Or After 14-Dec-2021

Some 2021-2022 Ranger/Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine built on or after 14-Dec-2021 and 2022 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and built on or after 14-Dec-2021, may exhibit a lack of power with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC)P25B4 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the condition, clear the DTC and road test the vehicle under load until the vehicle reaches operating temperature. If the DTC repeats, the turbocharger will need to be replaced. For claiming use causal part 6K682 and applicable labor times found in Section 09 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. If the DTC does not repeat, release the vehicle to the customer.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES
2021 - 2022 TRUCK: G1 U725N BRONCO
2021 - 2022 TRUCK: FG P375N RANGER
2022 CAR: TW U625N EXPLORER

Finally got it into dealer this morning, and heard back this evening that I'm joining the queue for a new turbo. No ETA quite yet on parts.

I appreciate it. I hope they can get it going soon. I feel like my truck purchase was just a dream, LOL. Glad I took a pic f it the one day it was in my driveway!

Hi all, I have a 2022 Explorer with the same issue. Brought it in to service with two codes: P0471 and P0299. They cleared the codes and sent me on the way, however they came back about 15 minutes later. New turbo is on order and will be in next week.

My dealer claims they were the ones that actually created the SSM above as they had a brand new Bronco get delivered with the MIL on with the same codes.

Back from the dead!
A week shy of two months since diagnosis, dealer called to say they finally have all parts in hand...goes in this coming Tuesday for the turbo replacement.

(The odd thing is...is after throwing the third CEL and then it disappearing, I haven't had the error return. At. All. Been perfectly drivable, as far as I can tell. Still, guess I'm happy to get a new - hopefully good - turbo on the thing at long last.)

Mitsubishi also makes sewing machines and toasters. Large conglomerate. They do still build turbos for lots of applications. Our 2021 Honda CRV had a TD03 on it. Toyota used to build turbos also but not on their own vehicles now. Most likely Mitsubishi is using their own turbos currently but it is the exception not the norm. My statement addressed current production gasoline automobiles.
showing my age here but decades back mitsu even had a home audio line. some of it was good quality lol.

Just had the two codes pop this morning. P0299 and P25B4. Cleared with Forscan and test drove in sport mode. They didn't come back but I'm guessing they will.

It's a 2021, just under 80k kms. I'll check the build date. Did another 60 km round trip on the highway and still no codes.
