I am in the KW region. Don't see many new rangers out on the road much.
They’re starting to show up more and more, I’ve seen a few over the past week. I just went through your area on Friday, I’m only about an hour away in Huron County.

New to forums. Marine veteran '82-'86. Been working in advertising for over 25 years, the last 15 for Ford. You may have seen my "work" in your dealership.

Feels so good to be back in a truck, especially the new Ranger! I owned a '96 Ranger back in the day, what a difference. I work with images of the Ranger as part of my job and it was torture not having one.

My lease was expiring on my 2016 Escape Titanium and I fully expected my wife to veto a Ranger purchase based on the price. My dealer called back a week ago saying the rebates have been sweetened. The $3,150 in rebates, $500 bonus from my company for buying a Ford and my brother's Z Plan won my wife over.

I have to use the dealer's photo for now, because naturally my truck is one of the ones in the recall range for the A/C blower, and it has the bad motor in it. So I did all the paperwork, and drove home in a loaner 2019 Ranger Lariat 4x2. Just my luck.

I have an Extang tonneau cover ordered for it (and it will probably be here before my truck is, LOL).

hello world

Welcome to my XL 4x4 w/ STX, locker, tow, and sliding/def window.

Bought the stRanger in July, just put proper tires on today, 255/75 R17 Duratracs. They fit with just enough clearance. I think ford should have gone this size or at least a 31” tire stock.

I do not intend to lift the front end, this truck will do work and i do not want to have a skyward facing look when loaded. Also it handles quite well at the stock ride height, and i would not want to raise the center of gravity or reduce suspension down travel.

Most reviews by car mags do this truck no justice, i am more than pleased with my choice. My brother and i shopped all the available trucks. He even drove the ridgeline for about one minute. He ended up with a Tacoma trd offroad, and i...

Welcome!

I've also been considering the Duratrac's. My brother had them on his 2nd gen Ranger and loved them immensely. It's between those and the Falken Wildpeaks, since those seem to be fairly popular on here. But I'll ride the stock Hankooks for awhile until they wear down a bit. Unless they're worse than I want in the snow this winter.

My brother and I also did a lot of our shopping and research together! And similar still, even though I bought a Ranger, he is also looking at the Tacoma TRD OR and will probably end up with one once he pulls the plug on a new vehicle.

Thanks!

I went the way of the Duratrac because of winter. I live in Maine, Winter is nasty and the stock Bstone Dueler A/T felt like hockey pucks, eh. I sold them to someone yesterday as well!
I think the feature that truly sold my brother on the Taco was the CD player

You’ll love the Duratracs in the snow! I had them on my old Ranger and they were great.

Yeah, the snow would be a big reason for going with the Duratracs for me as well. I live in Northern Minnesota and spend a lot of time in the UP of Michigan, so winter is definitely a big thing here too. Lot of lake effect off Lake Superior. People in mild winter areas don't quite understand what it takes sometimes, eh. I guess we'll see how the stocks do this winter and go from there.

Did you sell them to someone on here? Or just local in your area?

My brother is leaning toward the Taco because he's really set on keeping a manual transmission vehicle. My last 2 vehicles were manuals as well, but the benefits of the Ranger outweighed it's lack of stick to me. Apparently not for him.

Hey everyone, new to the forum, in the market for a mid-size truck, so I joined up to learn about the new Ranger.

I previously had a '16 F150 with the 2.7 EcoBoost and enjoyed it, sold to buy a house and have regretted it ever since!
