I guess I'm not sure what Q1 20 is supposed to mean. The OTA update that was rolled out a couple of months ago is NA 2 20.

Confusion reigns…

I am downloading the maps now to see if I can tell what they are really providing. My Ranger is at 220, but I really need the update for my 2018 Fusion. Those updates are no longer free and I want to know what I am getting before I pay for anything.

You still won't be able to install the Nav file in your 2018 without the license file which is VIN # specific.

I know. I just want to see what they are delivering on the download before I pay for the Fusion update.

It looks like they are still providing 119 even though the site now says 120 is the current map. All the file and date/time stamps match my 119 download.

I emailed them again to try to get to the bottom of this.

Someone else said this too. I’m going to try to pull it for one of my cars to see. Hopefully it didn’t get messed up again like last year. There it was a wrong license. I may get to make more new friends if it did. Heh.

Keep us posted on what you find. The license file I got has a new file name. Just the maps are old.

I will post back if I get a reply to my email. They did reply to my first email about the site saying 119.

This should not be that hard. Time to hire QA and get this done right. I am available if the price is right.

I've retried the download from the link in the alom.com email and got NA119 again. The Sync map update site won't let me order another digital download.

You have to keep the order confirmation email you received. It contains a link that allows you to re-download as necessary.

I re-downloaded the maps this morning and got a different file. This one does not have a folder that contains the version info like the 119 file did but the files are newer than what was provided yesterday.

Here is the folder structure of the zip:

This is the SyncMyRide folder:

I received an email from ALOM to re-download the maps.

It looks like a generic email for anyone that may have received the wrong files.

Yep, I also received an email for each of my vehicles that I had downloaded the Map update.

It seems they never get the download correct the first time around.
