when i got my first truck at 16 the maps i was given were the same! texaco, chevron and a shell. all of them worn fuzzy on the edges. never used them much but i always felt good knowing they were in the truck.I grew up with Shell and Texaco maps...they were always free for their customers.
Even remember the old , really old, Camper Travel Guides, where the instructions read "go 2 1/2 miles, turn right at the red barn, and take the right fork.....turn left at Gracie's Diner....."
Of course, that was when "hi tech" meant you had a push button radio instead of a manual tune.
