Thee last time i used a timing was ....................15...........................20 years ago?? Same with the wrenches for the distributor. Man how things change.
Long story short, worked on sons 2017 vw. Then timing chain for 2008 pathfinder. Pain in the ass. Then, in one afternoon, timing chain, waterpump, and timinng chain cover on my old mans 1996 f150. What a breath of fresh air!!!! One chain, no tensioners guides, alignment of the planets, just 2 marks tdc off and on simple fix pump, fan clutch water, belt easy peasy. Then spent 4 hours the next day chasing a misfire with live data on a 2019 escape. Smh

Popped (checks spelling ) up in my IG feed, never seen this tool before. Now I have spent almost the entirety of my automotive addiction in the Euro Car scene, and to my knowledge (with VW/Audi) they don't have these type of clips. Now with the limited experience I now have working on the Ranger that have these clips, I have never found them to be annoying to remove, BUT....that shouldn't stop me from acquiring a new tool lol. Anyone see this before??

If I had this tool, I might not have replaced all the popin clips holding the wheelwell rubber in place with magnets.
