Thanks for all of your input everybody.

I talked to the dealer, and he was very nice about everything. Seems there are two other buyers interested and they said they'd be marking up the price when it hit the lot without a deal in place. Didn't budge on much but went down to about 9% on the addons. I asked him about being in transit still and time to NOT put in some of the addon packages (KAHU, etc). They stood firm. I guess they're not desperate enough. I could walk away, but I really don't want to wait half a year or more for another truck. I'm hoping they can throw in some oil changes.

It's only money, right? I'm just picturing all the fun things we'll do with the new Tremor.

Thanks for the advice!!
It's people like you that pay for this bullshit that keep the scam going.

Congrats, youre a sucker. Good news is you've got plenty of company.

Why did you seek advice if you're just going to ignore it?

i recently contacted my dealership about ordering one. they said they would do it at invoice, but have a $400 admin fee, and some crap called their advantage program for an additional $390 that the buyer is required to purchase (that offers little other than 7/100,000 powertrain warranty, and yes nitrogen filled tires). and they do their own spray in bedliners on every new truck for $600 that the buyer is required to purchase. i ended up getting a hell of a deal that i will elaborate on when the order actually goes out, probably on monday.
another stealership an hour away advertises $50 over invoice, but two rangers on their lot had $6700 in dealer installed options. for what? solid gold bedrails?

I might have phrased it a bit douchey. But I stand by my point.

The only reason they do this ridiculous shit is because they get away with it. If people keep paying it, it'll never stop.

Also, when people ask for advice, and then ignore it, it makes it difficult to help that person anymore.

As a trainer at work I've stopped giving advice to some employees. They don't listen, and do want ever they want. Therefore I let them flounder in their own ineptitude. Doesn't cost the company anything or me, if they want their job to take 2 hours longer than it should.

It takes a special kind of arrogance to ask for help, then throw it away.

You were a little douchey in that earlier post but I do 100% agree with this quoted post. Same goes for the people paying the markups on the Bronco, just quit doing it and the prices will come down.

I appreciate your input!

I wasn't going to respond, but for some reason decided otherwise. I may regret it.

You're right! If people keep paying it, it will never stop. Well, the concept has been going on for thousands of years, and isn't going to stop anytime soon. So those who want to pay do so, and those who don't, won't. You just decide if you want to be part of the process or not. I don't blame others for the decisions I make.

I asked for advice on the process, received it, and did what I could with that advice. I asked questions that I wouldn't have otherwise, received a response and then made a decision based on the new information. I have more insight now than I did before asking the questions here. I don't see how that's ignoring advice, or an inability to learn. If it still is, perhaps I am ignorant. For some reason you feel very strongly about this, but I have no clue what your life experience has been. You don't know me, either. To call someone arrogant or ignorant after reading a few paragraphs is the pot calling the kettle black.

There is no way everyone can see all angles in a situation, and there are factors you're not aware of as well. We make decisions based on as much evidence that can be gathered within the time allotted. Perhaps I will push a little harder, perhaps not.

I won't be responding to the thread from this point as it feels like it's going off on a tangent.

But I thank you for your thoughts! We can all be a little douchey sometimes.

You're good. We've all got our own processes. If you're happy with it, that's what matters.

I apologize for the tangent, and any percieved insults.

Since you are in the Phoenix area, who was the dealer?
