hi all Pa is getting to be a pan with off road lights using the six shooter to power all of my stuff and need to add relays to each switch, Pa law says you need to be on a lighted switch with a relay so extra lights only come on with low beams...... need to tap the low beam and high beam to run relays any do this yet searched but did not see any post on this.

thanks Jeff

Sounds like a huge PITA.

I'd just install it as normal and not use aux lights when your brights are on.

Doubtful anybody is gonna look if you don't give them a reason to. Unless they do a state inspection there.

ive heard of folks just covering the extra lights to pass inspections. then when you need the lights for off road bad weather etc. just take the covers off. ive seen the covers for KC Rigid and Baja i would guess you could get a cover for what ever lights you use. Maybe that would satisfy the PA laws and save you having to re wire stuff.

One easy method is to wire up your aux lights, relay and switch as one normally would do it.
Connect another relay what follows the highbeams. In other words, when the highbeams are on, that relay is energised. When highbeams off, that relay is not energised.
Using that relay, its contacs interrupt the aux lights.
Either interrupt the aux light switch circuit, or interrupt power to the aux lights.

You’re relay coil would be energized by the highbeam circuit and run the extra lights through the NC circuit and nothing on the NO circuit. That way the extra lights will cut out when the high beams are applied

And tire width. Your tires can't extend "J" amount past the fenders.

what i need to do is with the six shooter each section needs a different relay, just cant use the trigger wire for the high beam, ( have under hood lighting ties into the six shooter ) what i was most worried about is the draw pulling multi relays down form the gem module,
