As far as I know, the tow rating on the bumper is only 3,500 lbs. You can install a Class III hitch for up to 7,500 lbs. towing. I don't think I'd be comfortable putting a 6 x 12 loaded with all your stuff on the bumper. But would have no problem on a 2" receiver. Is there not a knock out cap in center of the rear bumper for a hitch ball ? There should also be slotted tabs for the safety chains underneath. It is there on my Lariat even though I have the trailer package
I'm actually in the process of adding a hitch to mine and found a Class III Draw-Tite hitch on Amazon for $125. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WSYKMPJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I haven't decided whether or not to do the brake controller on mine. It already has the 4-pin connector and a 7-way seems unnecessary for the things I plan to tow. (motorcycle trailer, small enclosed trailer) I figure I can worry about that when I need to.
Regarding the suggestion about Pods- If you aren't comfortable towing, absolutely check that out. I used Pods the last time I moved and It was a good experience. (there are a couple of different brands, so price-compare. I think the "PODS" brand was more, but I used a different one)
