I have a 2020 lariat and started playing with forscan, bambi mode and cornering lights, etc. Are the fogs really white? Seems odd.

white has benefits over yellow and vice versa, but i think theres a shift away from traditional "fog" lights and more into a driving light.
Fog happens, but not often enough
people want more light for driving. more bright white light to see deers and stuff.

I'm sure there will be a time when the "fog lamp" names changes to something else
Copy. Stupid question because I haven't tested it. Can I just leave the fogs lights on all the time so they work for bambi mode and they will turn off when I shut the engine off, or will I need to engage them everytime at night? I guess having them on all the time would sort of negate the cornering lights, so that probably answers my question.

So what Bambi mode does is allow the Fog lights to be on with Highbeam lights instead of shutting off when Highbeams turn on. On my XLT I keep the light switch in Auto and the Fogs do not have to be reactivated when I start the truck.

Hope this helps

OK I changed my stock fogs to the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro yellow and love them. They are frigging awesome. The picture doesn't do them justice. They are very bright. I like the yellow in the rain and crappy weather. Much easier for me to see the road and any potholes and crap. Also it's easier for other vehicles to see and notice me. They were very easy to change. It took 1/2 hour to do both. I did have it up on a lift at a friends house which made it easier.

Did you have to take the bumper off? I tried installing my SS3 pro and could not get the crash bar out because the bumper is in the way.
I cant speak for others but when I did the install of the Morimoto fogs I didnt need to remove the bumper. Thankfully I already had the front valance(non FX4 stuff) removed from adding the FX4 skid plates. With that I had fair access to the fog assemblies.

I removed the skidplate and had enough room to swap bulbs, not sure about the whole fog light housing.
Swaped out just bulbs earlier w/o removing the skidplate and it was an arm scratcher.
