The trailer is a M1101 Humvee trailer, they come as the generator carrier model like yours and a cargo box version. The cargo comes in two weight ratings, M1101 and heavier rated M1102.

Were the tires on it good enough to get it home? Im interested in a heavy duty trailer i can pull with my tractor in the timber for getting firewood. Right now im using the front end loader or a small atv trailer.

Yes they looked really new. I got it home with no issues About 150 miles. But the conditions will vary depending on the lot #. There pictures are normally good so you can see quality and shape of the trailer

Thanks for the info. Looks like all the trailers are on the coasts and im in Illinois. North Carolina would be the closest to me at about 700 miles.

There is a place in Rolla MO that used to sell old military equipment but I haven't been there in 25 years so not sure now. Also there is a place on gov planet in Hopkinsville KY that I have seen recently that has trailers. But Fort Campbell has not processed out many trailers recently. I am on the team that processes the equipment out. But always worth checking.

I was sentenced to 6 1/2 years at Fort Leonard Wood in the 90s. I begged to go to Korea for years to get out of there. And I have a Missouri birth certificate. Its90 minutes from anywhere.

small update. testing my new CDH that I ordered almost a year ago. This thing is gonna be a game changer. I have a shelf that hangs off the tire under the wheel well that it will sit on and a 10ft hose to pump the heat directly into the tent. also my wife test fitted the free annex we got with the tent for the first time. first trip is next week to Joshua tree

big update. converted the wiring plug to 12 volt and a 7 pin. some of my connections may not be perfect but I will fix this later. not sure if some of my lights are dead but they were 100% LEDs. did a 7 pin in case I want to add electric brakes on the future. Got my off-road hitch bolted on. What a PITA. but other than a few Minor things she is ready. it will move in a full 360 degrees.

I used to have my root top tent on my truck with a bed rack but quickly realized this was not gonna work with the camping my family wants to do. Also being able to leave camp and go explore was not possible as the tent takes a bit pack up and unpack. so enter the following.

military auction trailer. custom no weld rack systems, an OVS 3 stage slide out for a kitchen. getting close to phase 1 done. still need to figure out the hitch, and the lighting. debating to ripping the 24volt systems and wiring up a cheap harbor freight led light set

Trailer is 2008 Schutt M1102 S/A Trailer Chassis
The No Weld uprights were bought here: https://dinoot.com/

He made a custom rack for my trailer :) Just gave the measurements

Nice trailer! I’ve been looking for one in my area but apparently they aren’t legal. My buddy has an M105 but the DMV won’t let him register it. They said the law prohibits registering a trailer that wasn’t originally intended for use on public roads… Essentially CA won’t let you register military surplus trailers or trucks? You can register them for off-highway use but you can’t have them on the street apparently.

Another friend of mine has an old 5 ton truck that’s registered as a historical vehicle. He’s allowed so many “maintenance miles” per year so he’ll drive it every now and then. CA sucks…

Keep us posted! I have seen a few of them around central CA so there might be a way to get around it. Either that or those guys just don’t care and they’re towing them anyway lol
