Mileage When Ordered Truck Arrived

For those that ordered their truck, how many miles were on it when you took possession?

When I picked up my custom ordered Ranger less the 24 hrs after it arrived on the dealer lot the odometer was reading 34 miles.

Mine had 38…the dealership swore it had 34 when it arrived. They test drove it during the PDI

Mine was a dealer stock purchase. It had 4 before I test drove it. It had a vibration that they fixed (said tire pressure was 6psi to high) and when I signed for it, it had 14 miles. Now at 13070, 1 1/2 years later.

22 miles on my '22 XL and plenty of rail-yard (?) mud.

On a side note, when we got Kate's Mazda, during the chip shortage last June, it had 255 miles on it. The dealer did one of those transfer/swap things where they got it from a dealer in Vermont who drove it to Portsmouth - we were fine with that because she was able to get her car the very next day. But I had never thought about that kind of "inter dealer" action.

LOL, so she got hers a month after I got Soupie. I have 1,700 miles on mine and she had over 6,000!

I gots to find me a farther dump to go to! Hmm, maybe start a National USA Dump Tour!

Haha, my truck had 3806 miles on it when I bought it as new. It was a courtesy vehicle at the dealership for a bit. It had a pretty solid discount on it due to that. I guess Ford will let them get as high as 5000 miles and still be allowed to be sold as new.

7.1 on my 23. Assuming the dealer made a trip to the gas station since she had a full tank.

The dealership that I have purchased my last 5 Fords from built a new building around 2005 and the kept the old building to use for their body shop and new car prep. All new vehicles get delivered to the old building and once prepped they are driven to the new building for delivery or to go out on the lot.

Since it is about 12 miles between the two locations all new cars have 12 plus whatever mileage was put on at the factory.

My new Tremor had 11.7 miles on it. They had to send it out to get the bed liner sprayed which was about 3 miles round trip.

I configured and ordered my truck from a dealer in Southern California. When I picked it up it had 4.7 miles on it.

When I p/u my ordered Ranger it barely had 3 miles on the clock. was not real happy about it but brought it home & looked it over myself.No miles tells me that it didn't get a proper prep. I always tried to put between 10 to 12 miles on a prep to be sure everything worked properly. I remember a '96 F150 that came off the truck, was a sold unit. Brought it in, raised it on the hoist & proceded to check it over. Imagine my suprise when I shook the L/frt wheel & it was loose as a goose. Pulled the tire off & the whole rotor hub was loose. Pulled the dust cap & found no castle nut or wheel bearing. The only thing holding things together was the brake caliper over the rotor. Now, imagine that without a proper new truck prep.

Mine had exactly 5 miles on it. That is the same as my wife’s Bronco had on it when it finally arrived !
