I got the hot/cold pipe kit, did a mock up with just the pipe and it does not really fit

So, I was hoping to get some pics of other installs, hopefully to see if they are all this close or if I got the goofy pipe, better yet, maybe a measurement from the weld in the pipe seam to the coupler.

Either way I have to cut and re-weld it to fit my truck, I'm guessing I got the bad one, they all can't fit like this, they would be cracked in short order.

It's butted hard into the IC, I gotta figure this one slipped in the welding jig and is out of the intended position.

Could just get a straight silicon coupling and some clamps and call it a day
It comes with one, the pipe needs to be cut shorter and welded, or cut and a new barb formed in the end of the tube, it should have a gap between the IC and the pipe for engine movement.

They indicated that it’s probably normal.

So, that’s okay, hey, it could be my motor mounts, I haven’t been kind to the truck off road.

Good info, I'm going to see what the easiest way is to get it to fit, probably cut the mounting bracket off and reposition the pipe back a little bit.

It could be a stack up of tolerances, if the motor mounts are a little forward and the IC is a little back, that's all it would take, I really only need 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch and I'm good?

Man, I'd have then send a new pipe if they will. Seems like a lot of work to cut that and then try and weld it back right.
Is your IC by any chance crooked?

My CVF pipe kit has been riding in the bed of the truck for at least 6 months. :p
If it ever cools down I need to put it on.

I would send it back or get a replacement pipe as what you pay you should not have to make any adjustments to it To make it fit like it supposed to.

I am just going to fix it, I assume it is something with my truck.
It’s okay, cutting and welding something is no big deal for me.
I have plumbed IC’s on several race cars, this is a easy one, cut it, mock it up, mark it, tack it, check it, weld it, paint it, it will fit perfectly.

Hey, Thanks, it is tight!

It looks like the pipe barb bump in the hose, is in the right spot, not as close as mine.
