That would be me.

My tuner bricked my truck at least a half dozen times until I finally just put it back in the box where it still sits.

Every now and then I think to myself, "Self, maybe you should try it one more time"

Then my other Self, "Self, are you stupid? Do you remember not being able to drive it for 2 weeks because it was throwing a crankshaft error that wouldn't clear? And you ended up having to take it to the dealer to get it cleared? Do you remember how many times the load failed and your truck became a $40k yard ornament?"

After the bricking I was eventually able to return it to stock but it always took a few hours of letting it sit.

I wouldn't even think of selling it to someone because I think it's a bad tuner, or a bad cable, or it just hates my truck in particular. Or it hates me.

I chalk it up to a lesson learned.

I've heard good thing about Oz tuning, though if I ever tune again I'll probably go Unleashed.
Weird, I've litteraly changed tunes 12 times in the last year no issues

Premium fuel? I doubt reg fuel would do anything. I've seen a dyno with the tow tune.... Made almost 350 wtq with 285's

I’ve run 93 premium all the time that Dyno is horseshit. You should be able to feel 90ft lbs at 3500rpms. I did not feel that at all.
just for reference I have a 67 Camaro put it on the Dyno 450 hp change carburetor felt huge difference put back on the Dino475hp
which is only 25 hp more than I could definitely feel that. So that Claim that it’s 90 foot pounds of torque more is complete horseshit

I don't have dyno numbers but my ranger felt like a different truck with the livernois tune an 93 octane in it. Every time I floored it I was spinning the tire(s) unless I was in 4x4 then they'd chirp. The numbers I heard were 30 HP an 60 TQ

Yup it's a night and day difference! I've been running the 91-93 soft shift tune for almost 22 years now and when gas started rising I thought I'd try the 87-89 soft shift tune. I only made it to the gas station before flashing it back to the 91-93 tune it was that noticeable! Mine will put me back in my seat and bark 2 gears easily when I get on it. I don't think I could drive a stock Ranger again. lol

Even when I had the 91-93 Performance tune loaded, my performance increase was nowhere near that dramatic.

Yet another hint that mine may just be a bad tuner.
