Fair enough.. i was poking fun at the guys that are upset about the fake engine noise.
I for the most part dont notice it.

I thought the Forscan wizards figured out how to turn it off.

Im in a similar thought as you.. improve flow and look better.. keep it quiet.. its a 4 cylinder.. there is no cool sounding exhaust..

Wife says the aftermarket exhaust sound like a wrx...
In principle I think that vehicles producing fake engine noise is a dumb idea, but I admit that I don't really notice it, so it is a non-issue for me.
They did. I never really noticed it in my mustang, but my ranger is *SO* much quieter inside with it off, I was blown away. You don't realize how obnoxious it is until it's off.

Hi guys, got my ranger a couple months ago, first truck for me. Came from a Fiesta ST, night and day. Way more comfortable and easier to live with. I installed some cosmetic stuff and did a 2.5" level kit on it. Otherwise stock.

Loving this truck!

Hey, Paul, I got a Gibson tip from Amazon at ninety-nine bucks and change.

  • Gibson Performance 500427-B Black Exhaust Tip; 4 in. Polished Stainless Round Angle Cut Double Wall; Inlet 3 in; Outlet 4 in; L- 12 in.;

They are asking just over 100 now, but still worth it, in my opinion. I hated the looks of the stock pipe and looked all over for an exhaust system that would look better and improve flow but not be louder than stock. I want to keep the cabin quiet to listen to tunes on the B&O. As far as I could tell, all the systems available now are all either a little louder or a lot louder than stock--I know, for some guys, that is the whole point, and I respect that, just not my thing. I finally decided to just replace the tip for looks and keep the cabin noise to its present level. I feel I made the right decision, looks great, and, of course, sounds the same.
any problems with it fitting tightly? i got a gibson that would not tighten down enough, i got the 500641-B ,that was also 3" in, 4" out. i ended up going with a Go Rhino tip, fits great, but the finish is already coming off, they are sending me a new one. the one you got and the one i had, are the same specs, 3 in, 4 out, 12" long.. yet the images look different on amazon.

Funny you said that. The first few times I drove the Ranger with my foot into it I thought the same (with stock exhaust) or a street bike. It kinda reminds me of my motorcycle sound ?
