With that size there's no need for a lift/level. The first picture is the most recent where I changed over to the Eibach coilovers and the second picture (taken back in 2019) was with a RC 2.5" level kit. I have had zero issue with rubbing on or off road with either setup.I really love that set up! I can't tell from the photos, did you have to level or modify in order to fit those tires in that size?
I just had the Ford Performance Fox leveling kit installed a few weeks ago. At first the front felt raised almost too much but after a half tank of gas, it's since settled nicely. A very nice upgrade. It's better on the street, and really shines offroad.Do you have a link to the Ford leveling kit?
There's a few places that has this kit for around $1300-1400 which is the route I went. Keep in mind to keep the warranty in tact, it need to be installed by a Ford dealer or an ASE certified mechanic.cjponyparts.com is having a pretty nice sale on the fox 2.0. plus an additional 10% off today for veterans day.
I have stock wheels on now with 55mm offsets and when I stick my finger back there, it's already pretty tight. There's definately a limit to how far you can push tire size without having issues. There's lots of threads on this that you can find here. I'll be upgrading too and will likely go the 265/65R18 route. Adding too much unsprung mass is a big deal in my eyes. Some brands of tires are much heavier than others but if you are focused on off-road, I get it.I have the Bilstein 1.8 inch front level and am planning to do something similar at tire replacement. I’d like to put on at least the 31.5 inch 265/65R18 Nitto Grapplers, but have wondered if true 32 inch tires would fit with no rubbing.
I am also tuned (Livernois Performance) with a Pedal Commander and agree with your comments. Honestly the debate about a throttle control has been beaten to death. Those that have one will agree and those that don't will never agree. It's like politics, debating it is pretty much pointless, lol.I figured I'd try it b/c even with the tune you still feel like there's a delay when you stomp on the gas. The PC is a bigger difference IMHO than the tune. The tune gives you more HP, but the PC gives you better throttle response. The tune was noticeable, but nowhere near as noticeable as the PC. Plus, only takes a minute to install and is a fraction of the cost.
Most people grow tired of it before very long. From what I hear about the pedal commander I feel like I'd crash through my garage with it. Or more likely drop it off for service and the tech does.
Didn't know you could do that so thanks for the tip. felt zippy...If you have the tune, put your Ranger into Sport Mode, press and hold the traction control button until it tells you that the Advance Trac is disabled. Now drive it, at your own risk, then report back.
i could see that. My fuel economy is certainly not happy. Most people grow tired of it before very long.
The remainder of the people realize that the pedal commander does nearly nothing that they themselves can't do with either less or more movement of their right foot.. and sell it ?Most people grow tired of it before very long.
Now I do not have the PC for my Ranger (yet?) but I did have one on my manual Jeep JK and auto Jeep JL and I can tell you that I thought they make a difference. For me, it was find a setting you like and tuck it into the dash and forget it. I may try out Sprint Booster this time to switch things up.The remainder of the people realize that the pedal commander does nearly nothing that they themselves can't do with either less or more movement of their right foot.. and sell it ?

It may also be helpful to just mention that I liked it better with my manual JK than my auto JL.
Here is a helpful video that shows how they work. No matter how fast you use your right foot, the throttle wont go to WOT as fast w/o one. IMO what is more important is the linear rate pushing on the pedal as it translates to the throttle butterfly.
Got the Sprint booster last year to pair with FP tune, hoping it would help with lag accelerating from a deaf stop. I like that it's small and can be tucked out of the way. It maybe slightly helps with lag and was fun playing with settings at first. Also it makes pedal more sensitive. Obliviously, fuel mileage took a hit while in use so have not used it in awhile
Dude - Pics or it didnt happen!New 2022 Velocity Blue Metallic Ranger Lariat 501A FX4 owner here. Wanted Tremor, but couldn't find one so decided to pimp it up a bit. Got the Ford leveling kit and performance tune done a few weeks back which made a huge difference on suspension and power. Just installed the Pedal Commander PC18 and what a difference that makes. Sport+ is almost unusable due to how fast the truck takes off. Now all i need is some offset tires and it's perfect. Gas milage sucks, but sure is fun to drive. I'm new to trucks and don't know much about tires and wheels. Was thinking of spacers, but don't want to mess this thing up. Any recommendations on wheels and tires to give it more of an aggressive look without needing to cut the crash bars? Love the forum. Thanks for any tips.
That demo box sprint booster uses is utter BS. I can promise you with 100% surety that your throttle body is not that slow to respond. And here's the catch, even if it was there's absolutely nothing these pedal tuners could do to change the speed at which it opened. The only thing that can be manipulated in the pedal section of the DBW circuit is position. Could you imagine trying to blip the throttle on a manual vehicle if the TB was that lazy to respond to your inputs? The vehicle would be undriveable. Here is a helpful video that shows how they work.
