LED Fog Lamp installation

Hi all. Just wondering if there is a tutorial on getting into the Fog Lamp bay area? I cant seem to find one on line and I don't want to start breaking off a bunch of plastic clips!

I would like to install LED's in there instead of the dingy white halogen bulbs. Thanks.

Can confirm. It’s just like they show in that video. It’s a bit fiddly to get some light and your hand up in there, but you don’t need to take anything apart. I went with the switchback bulbs from lasfit. Having white and amber is a nice feature.

I have heard of it happening. Just turn them off for a minute and turn them back on. Never happened to me.

Mine never have. You can see in those photos how the yellow light hits lower too, they’re great in heavy fog. (Thanks for the pics dozxab)

I paid $45 for these amber LED's in October of 2023: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144055448013 Now $33. They made a SUPER difference and are still running fine, way brighter than stocks. I use my Fogs a lot. I have never been flashed by other drivers, the aim appears true. Replacing the stock halogens was not a super big pain. I had already deleted the crash bars which would otherwise have made the job more of a challenge.

Just an updated, the LED Fog Lights are now installed. bit of a PITA trying to get your hand in there. In fact, I removed the front skid plate and voila.. lots of room!

Now I found a different issue. The 2 bolts that hold the skid plate on the back side (the ones that it is supposed to slip in to??) have been stripped of. broken bolt still in there. I felt up around and looks like there is a nut on the other side. Possibly welded to the frame??

Yes, I believe it is welded.

best to drill a new whole and tap or try to get those ones out??
