I've been thinking long and hard (lol) about new tires lately. I got Badlands stocks a few years ago and the Ko2's were getting worn and loud, and honestly i was just tired of them. I wanted something new and different. Started thinking real hard about going to a 285/75. I was worried about rub and MPGs. Was really looking at ridge grapplers or R/T trails. Being on FB marketplace like I always am, i came across some R/T Trail Pros $1500 brand new. Which is cheaper than i could buy them for. So i offered $1200, thinking he would reject or come back with another price. He Took It. 😳

Got them mounted on my stocks. Looks better than the badlands to me. Plus the Tpms sensors went right back to working. No scrubbing. Hard to believe that. Everything thing i read i would have to remove the plastic waffle crap behind the front tires.
Setup is no crash bars, stock wheels, 1" spacers, and Eibach coilovers. Turned
Yes, they are heavy. Still getting 20 mpg.
Yes, I adjusted for the bigger tire with my turner.
Yes, they ride very smooth. One tire only took a ¼ oz weight.
Yes, they make a little hum.

I like it! It's clean looking with space between the tire and the fender filled up. Nice looking Ranger!

I am debating between 255/75/17s and 265/70/17s
FWIW, the 265/70r17s are a considerably more common tire size and come stock on a number of SUVs and light trucks. May keep that in mind if you're trying to keep costs down or ever blow a tire out and need to pick up a spare in a pinch.

Stock crash bars, stock wheels, 2" Fox 2.0 leveling kit. I can probably get a better picture later but here's how sits with the 255/80r17s.
