Interesting happenings... this is the short version lol

I installed the Ford/fox 2.0 kit, wanted the Falken Wildpeak AT3 in a 255/80/17 after lots of reading and reviews. I couldn’t find them in stock anywhere. The Nitto Ridge Grapplers, while a touch heavier and beefier in the same 255/80/17 were a close second and readily available. I had a very reputable tire store mount and and balance them. There was a lot of vibration, lag, drop in gas mileage. I have run BFGoodrich and Goodyear DuraTracs in even bigger sizes than these on my old Frontier, so am use to the feel of a more aggressive and large tire. These Nittos did not feel right. I went to my local ford dealership to have them test drive it and make sure everything was still aligned. They said they were out of balance. I called the tire store and they said no prob it happens sometimes, we will rebalance for free. Everyone was super helpful, and the guy at the tire store had a new 5g ranger as well, so we were swapping stories and setups. The balance felt better, but still not what I wanted. I was disappointed as I missed that smooth ranger ride with the upgraded fox suspension. I ended up finding some Falken Wildpeaks. With my ford credit I had them mount and balance them. When I drove away I got on the highway and they felt as smooth as the stock Hankooks. Still a really aggressive tread and great in snow and mud. My suspension feels great as the vibrations are gone and I can actually feel the compression and ride more accurately. It is really amazing how smooth they are. Now I understand all the positive reviews for them. Needless to say I have my hankooks and the mottos for sale! I love my ranger again! I’ll get more photos but here’s a fun one. Thanks to everyone on here for all the info too

Those falcon wildpeaks 255/80/17 are the lightest skinny tires I see in 33" I'm going to get as well. Awesome reviews all over and I didn't want to cut bars or run spacers. I like the stock wheels on (Sally) our truck and I have a 2.5" level sitting at home. Iv just don't have the time to throw it on yet works been busy. Can't wait to get a set though. Your truck on the beach looks awesome. That's all I'll be doing with Sally south Texas beaches for me. ⛱ ?

I'm running that exact size with a level kit. Crash bars still in place no rubbing at all. Been off road several times flexed on 3 wheels. You will be fine.
